Order a copy of a certificate

To order copies of a certificate you must give us enough information to find the original record. If you need any historic certificates you can order from The General Register Office.

There is a different process to order copies certificates of:

  • adoption certificates
  • naturalisation and citizenship certificates
  • gender recognition certificates

We do not provide copies of adoption certificates, but these can be ordered from the General Register Office either online or by post.
